Vacancy: Biostatistician at UGIR/KI, application dead-line 15 August 2015

The Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery research group at Karolinska Institutet is looking for an experienced and independent statistician with an interest directed towards applied biostatistics. The work includes planning of new studies, data management and statistical analyses as well as contribution to manuscript writing. The analyses vary between studies, which provide good opportunities for development as statistician. The majority of projects are cohort studies, case-control studies, clinical observational studies, randomised clinical trials and validation studies. The successful applicant is expected to collaborate actively with people in the group, not the least with the other biostatisticians, and contribute to the statistical competence of the group, including taking part in the biostatistician meetings. The person to be employed will interact and collaborate at a daily basis with researchers. The person to be employed is expected to take part in methodological discussions, group meetings, and actively take part in study protocol meetings where new projects are planned.
